Don’t know what a NAPs Table is? We’ll tell you! It’s an independently run competition involving the cream of the British and Irish racing press whose positions in the table are based on their profits to Level Stakes. And just like all sports competitions worldwide, those doing best are towards the top of the table.
So, we decided to put that golden guide to the test and use it to steer you towards what could be a savvy Lucky 15 (4 horses, 15 bets) today. The four you’ll see below are the selections of some of the top-performing tipsters in the Table. Let’s get to the picks…
Bonttay is the headline act on her hurdling debut, having made such a big splash in bumpers, but MANIMOLE shaped very nicely in defeat on her hurdling debut at Ffos Las and is narrowly preferred. They probably present Magical Millie with a stiff task under her penalty but she impressed at Uttoxeter in the same maiden hurdle in which Jane Du Berlais looked to be in the process of running well when she slipped up. Several others help to make this a race full of interest.
Al Zaraqaan has won his last three hurdle starts and could still be well treated given his ability on the Flat. However, he’s unproven on the forecast slow ground and preference is for SMART LASS, who likes it here.
Bottom-weight ZAFAR kept on well to win over 2m4f here in January and he’s worth another go at a staying trip. Schalke’s jumping lacked fluency on his chase debut and perhaps he’ll be the main danger now back over hurdles, but Court Dreaming can be a big threat if handling conditions (all five wins have been on good ground).
Lightly raced GIVE ME A CUDDLE brings potential and gets the vote ahead of Breaking Waves, who has staged something of a revival recently. Stamina is the question over Mark Of Gold.
