Made For You is a generally reliable sort and he ran up to his best when runner-up at Warwick on his reappearance last month. That was a more competitive event than the one he tackles here and Made For You holds solid claims under regular rider Daire Davis.
Irish point winner General Officer showed plenty to work on when third on his bumper debut at Carlisle in October and he built on that promise to make a successful start over hurdles over this course and distance last month. General Officer went with enthusiasm and drew 18 lengths clear in the style of a good prospect. There should be more to come and he is up to defying a penalty.
Gaius showed fairly useful form on the Flat for Richard Hannon and was in fine fettle when last seen in the summer, beaten just a short-head in a mile-and-a-quarter handicap at Ffos Las before landing a similar event at Windsor. Gaius was unraced beyond a mile and a quarter on the Flat so it looks a good move to start him off over jumps around this speed-favouring course. He has been gelded since last seen and is an interesting recruit to hurdling for Olly Murphy.
Masked Crusader, a dual winner in novice hurdles last season, failed to meet expectations on his handicap and chasing debut at Catterick last month, but it’s still early days and this winning pointer remains capable of better over fences. Masked Crusader, who had undergone a breathing operation prior to his reappearance, failed to see things out at Catterick, weakening from the second-last, but it’s possible he needed the run and he drops back in trip here.
Al Zaraqaan, a smart performer at his best on the Flat, has taken well to hurdling and he completed the hat-trick when scoring at Fakenham in October. Al Zaraqaan won at Fakenham despite proving headstrong and looking far from the finished article over his hurdles, so he remains open to plenty of improvement in this sphere. He made little impact in listed company on the Flat when last seen but this is a more suitable assignment for him nowadays.

Sandy Thomson has his team in good form and he can register another winner with Coolbane Boy. Coolbane Boy was successful over this course and distance on New Year’s Day and, although he has been inconsistent since, he has slipped to a handy mark. He is now only 2 lb higher than when a comfortable winner here on New Year’s Day and he can take advantage.
Get With It is going the right way over fences and he had excuses when only third at Newcastle last time. The drop in trip and the steadily-run race would not have suited him at Newcastle and he will appreciate stepping back up to around three miles here. He could still be capable of better as a staying chaser and ought to give a good account.
