15:03 – Perfect Swiss
Tim Easterby’s runner has been a model of consistency and is a three-time course and distance winner. We know Raatea has a liking for the track added to that he takes a significant drop back down in grade into Class 6 company. This can see him show his class over this level of opposition.
FANCY A CHANCE TO WIN £/€50K?
16:45 – Raatea
Graham Lee’s mount has built himself a pretty decent all weather profile and given where he sits from a rating perspective 91 doesn’t look beyond his reach. It’s a race with the two front runners are drawn very close to Raatea in stall nine. We should get the perfect lead into the final furlong.
17:15- Victoria Falls
A lot of these have been going up and down the handicap, whereas Victoria Falls starts his handicapping career off a mark of just 63. Hugo Palmer’s team are in pretty decent order and while Victoria Falls was a beaten favourite just 18 days ago, she has been found a very good opportunity to get that first success on the board.

17:45 – Art Power
Although he has to carry the 5lb penalty for his success in Group 3 company, Art Power is a very solid sprinter who has been campaigned up at a very high level. He was a very comfortable winner the last time we saw him, admittedly in much lower company. Kaboo could rate an each-way play and the main danger looks to be Logo Hunter travelling over from Ireland after a big run at Dundalk last time.
18:15 – Noisy Night
The only runner on the card for Team Charlton and the only ride for our excellent jockey Rossa Ryan as well. That is a double pointer to Noisy Night’s chances, even allowing for the 435-day absence. There was a feeling previously that he was more than a ‘handicapper’ according to comments after a previous win so let’s hope this is the start of that step up the ladder.

He’s probably going to fly under the radar slightly as he’s never run on a synthetic surface before. However, that should hold no fears for him and our 5lb claimer Mark Winn has got the best tune out of him the last twice and retains the ride. He comes from a good starting stall in stall 10 close to the stands’ rail. There are a lots of positives from a 3lb higher mark for his Redcar success.
