17:00 – Maritime Rules
A couple of recent winners are in here again, not least of all Inishmot Prince. Lokada is going through the gears nicely and there may be improvement left as she chases the hat-trick. Eddie Lynam’s Collective Power has a big chance and the stable is flying. However, Ger O’ Leary has three runners in the race and the least exposed of those Maritime Rules could be suited by the drop back down to 5f. He has a decent draw in stall one and could be some nice value against the likely market leaders.
FANCY A CHANCE TO WIN £/€50K?
17:30 – Man Of Eden
A one-mile maiden with a few newcomers likely to be at the top of the market. Man Of Eden sets the standard off a mark of 84 so the field will need to match – then beat that – to visit the winner’s enclosure. I’m not sure if there’s anything in the field that can do that just yet. His Galway run behind Alexandroupolis is fair form and he’s been gelded since, which should help with his temperament.
Just An Hour was an expensive purchase (£450,00) and his juveniles all seem to be running well first time out. Mick Halford’s Kalikapour has had a couple of runs and should come on for them while the same applies to his once-raced stablemate Ninth Life.
18:30 – Havana Pearl
An apprentice handicap over the mile where Malaysian was a good fourth here last time before being disqualified after the jockey weighed in ‘light’. She travelled strongly that day but probably hit the front too soon so patience will be needed this time. Cousin Shay could be well handicapped but the mile trip mightn’t suit. The booking of Sam Ewing for Havana Pearl catches my eye as she wears a hood, is dropping down in grade and the Michael Halford yard are in great order.

19:00 – Senor Carrots (NAP)
Just the eight runners declared for this 6f maiden where Aces Wild finished second last time and should come on for the run. Diamondinthesand has run well on soft ground but is unproven on the polytrack surface so is maybe best watched this time. The one I like is Senor Carrots who ran in a handicap on Wednesday over course and distance. If he backs up here in maiden company, he’d have a major chance under Billy Lee.
20:00 – Gemini Man
The first division of the 1m 2f handicap sees Innamorane run off a mark 20lb lower than her last win but has been showing signs of life recently. She’s one to watch. Mephisto is improving with racing and the 10f trip should suit as is Dark Street.
The key form line could be that between Lilyoftheglen, Stardayz and Gemini Man who all reoppose each other again after finishing in that order last month here over 10f. Of the three, the lightly-raced Gemini Man could be the one to step forward from his low draw in stall two and the fitting of a first-time visor to help him concentrate.

20:30 – Kampala Beach
The finale on the card sees the second division of the 1m 2f handicap and I’m sticking with Kampala Beach who won on Wednesday at this track. He finished strongly then and has only gone up 6lb for that win and can go in again. Gracesolution could be one to watch after 90 days off and might need to step up to 1m 4f to show his best in future.
