14:00 – Den Of Iniquity

A maiden that may not take too much winning and, given any market confidence, Joseph O’Brien’s newcomer DEN OF INIQUITY could be up to the task. Solid claims are held by the likes of La Tulipe Noire and Shangrilama, while Tabuk could emerge the pick of the Cromwell runners.

14:30 – Linus Larrabee

Sorcha Woods has struck up a good partnership with top-weight LINUS LARRABEE and the pairing are taken to complete a quick C&D hat-trick here, having previously won from such a high draw. Airgead and Leabaland look likely dangers, and it could be folly to rule out the selection’s unexposed stablemate Selective Power.

15:00 – Leclerc

Just denied on the line here 12 days ago over 1m, LECLERC is taken to go one better here from a decent draw. Plenty of dangers mind, headed by the likes of Numoor, Lion Ring and Jazzy Dancer.

15:30 – Not Too Real Bad

A nursery which may not take a lot of winning and perhaps best to side with NOT TOO REAL BAD (nap), despite a 6lb rise for a recent narrow C&D defeat.

Dundalk-Races

16:00 – Markievicz

Not many of these could be ruled out. Despite unpromising recent form figures, MARKIEWICZ is interesting since she is back below the mark at which she beat the talented Gordon Bennett and 28 other rivals at the Curragh in June. The main danger may be No Speed Limit who ran up against a well-handicapped filly over 5f here last Friday and enjoys a narrow edge over Silver Nemo on that basis.

16:30 – Make The Switch

Wajaaha did well to win here last Friday and could well eke out enough improvement over this longer trip to follow up but a chance is taken on MAKE THE SWITCH, who was putting in good late work here recently and could appreciate this step up in distance. Others with claims include Roman Song and Chutzpal.

17:00 – Dancing Tango

Seven of these are officially rated between 73 and 77, and none of them really appeal as being progressive, so this is a race to approach with caution. Perhaps the 77-rated DANCING TANGO can emulate her sister Dancing Approach who won a handicap on her first start for Joseph O’Brien, having likewise arrived from Roger Charlton’s yard. Engagement Ring, Marvelosa and Cristal Clere have solid claims. Distinct is the potential dark horse of the race.

17:30 – Dreal Deal

Top weight Cold Steel could go close if getting the trip on his first start since a fourth placing over 1m at Leopardstown in June. Mads Black Eights looks best of those with recent course form, with an edge over Magnetic North, Maralinga and Newgirlintown on running 12 days ago. However, none of these may cope if DREAL DEAL finds his form again under Colin Keane.
