12:30 Wor Verge

WOR VERGE is clearly in the form of his life this autumn having won his last two starts over this course and distance in good style. He had plenty in hand when defying a 5 lb rise in the weights on the last occasion, leading on the bridle three out and gradually drawing clear from there to win by six and a half lengths. The manner of that victory suggests he was full value for another 6 lb rise and it probably won’t be enough to stop him from completing the hat-trick.

13:00 Soaring Glory

SOARING GLORY produced a smart performance under top weight when last seen finishing fifth in the Betfair Hurdle at Newbury in February – a race he won the previous year – and the form he showed there suggests he could have a class edge over his six rivals today. A few of them have the benefit of previous experience over fences, but Soaring Glory is the type to take well to chasing (tall, well-made gelding) and this looks a good opportunity for him to make a winning debut before going on to bigger and better things.

13:30 Just A Dime

JUST A DIME made a very promising start to his career under Rules when winning a novice hurdle at Exeter in March, staying on strongly to win by three and a quarter lengths in comfortable fashion. That form puts him right in the mix here and there should be plenty to come from him as he gains in experience. Indeed, he looks potentially useful and is unlikely to give up his unbeaten record without a fight if ready to go after eight months off.

FANCY A CHANCE TO WIN £/€25K?

14:00 Riviere D’Etel

RIVIERE D’ETEL was let down by her jumping when filling the runner-up spot in the Fortria Chase at Navan last time, doing well under the circumstances to be beaten just a length and a half having made a series of mistakes. She was staying on again after the last and her strength at the finish suggests she is worth another try over this longer trip. A smart novice last season, she is fancied to capitalise on the drop in grade to resume winning ways.

14:30 Silver Flyer

SILVER FLYER was well backed after eight months off and made a promising start to life in handicaps when finding one too good at Ayr a few weeks ago, passing the post just a length and three-quarters behind the winner and pulling well clear of the remainder. He is only 3 lb higher in the weights today and should mount a bold bid to go one place better, with further progress by no means out of the question given his lightly raced profile.

15:00 Morning Spirit

MORNING SPIRIT shaped as if retaining all his ability after seven months off when sixth at this course last time, keeping on gradually after the last and leaving the impression he’ll be sharper for the run. He is down a little more in the weights since then and starting to look dangerously well handicapped judged on the pick of his form. After all, he lines up here from a BHA mark of 127 having gone close off 129 as recently as last December.

15:30 Blue Ridge Hill

BLUE RIDGE HILL matched his debut form when again filling the runner-up spot at this course last month, doing his best work late on to be beaten just a length. It’s surely only a matter of time before he wins a race of this nature and just a repeat of the form he showed last time should be good enough for him to get off the mark in a thin contest.
