Fourth in last season’s Betfair Hurdle at this venue; LORD BADDESLEY WAS A solid second at Chepstow (2m3f; strong form) on reappearance then went one better with an emphatic win at Plumpton (2m4f, good), should repeat that form here today.
14:57 Doncaster – Big Bad Bear (Racing Post)
BIG BAD BEAR is good nick in the spring, winning over around 2m4f at Newcastle (good) and Perth (good to soft); below par back at Perth in September but quickly returned to form when chasing home the progressive Harbour Lake at Market Rasen six weeks ago; likely to be thereabouts.
15:05 Newbury – Remastered (Wolverhampton Express & Star)
REMASTERED demonstrated his wellbeing with a hurdles success under David Noonan at Aintree (3m, good to soft) three weeks ago, with stablemate Gericault Roque behind; unlucky off 4lb higher in this race last year, as he looked set to play a huge role when falling four out; major contender.
16:20 Wolverhampton – Moving Colours (Daily Telegraph)
MOVING COLOURS has been the pick of her three runs since making her debut in September came over 1m at Haydock on her second start; quite possible she can take a big step forward now tackling nurseries (well bred) and she is an interesting contender.
