It was a promising enough debut from WHITE BIRCH and with the likelihood of him handling the surface, he’s a likely improver second time out. Zurana can be in the mix if she progresses again while newcomers Dd Gold and Cash Out are respected in a winnable maiden.

A 50-1 shot when chasing home an easy winner on her handicap debut last week, Bedelia had only a whisker to spare over Trident Star. The pair may be denied by the very experienced STATIC CHARGE, fourth in a turf nursery since runner-up over C&D in September, with Hilltop’s Bear third.
15:30 – The Cola Brasil
Seemingly the weaker of the two divisions. It might be worth taking a chance on THE COLA BRASIL who didn’t have his ground last time but may bounce back with cheekpieces on. Sondheim is respected, despite a poor draw and Eglish is back on a fair mark.
16:00 – Senor Carrots
Linus Larrabee is only up 2lb for his win a fortnight ago and Delta Romeo is another arriving on the back of a good course run. However, it might be worth taking a chance on SENOR CARROTS who looks well treated on handicap debut and he may come on for his run here last week.
16:30 – Witch Of The Wood
In theory, the 61-rated WITCH IN THE WOOD hardly looks good enough to win a maiden but a couple of her runs give her a clear chance in a weak race. If first-time blinkers make just a little difference, she may beat Tack and Ebtsama, fourth and sixth respectively in a 7f maiden here last week.

There was plenty of support for TARA POWER over C&D a fortnight and he was not beaten far in fifth after suffering some interference. He may be worth another chance but faces an obvious danger in El C Wells who has gone up 4lb for a C&D win on her stable debut. Qaabil flopped here last Friday but should not be ruled out despite a possible stamina doubt.
17:30 – Je Tai Porte
A 7lb penalty may not prevent last Friday’s emphatic winner JE T’AI PORTE (nap) from reversing previous C&D form with St Cianans Fire. Steel Queen has an edge over Kodiac Prince on the basis of last Wednesday’s clash and should not be far away.
