TONY’S PET makes some appeal on paper for his in-form stable and could make a successful start. Phils Choice has shown plenty in bumpers and is interesting on this switch to hurdling. True Artist seemed to excel himself at Cork on Sunday and would have to be feared if turned out again quickly.
13:45 – Henning
The drop to 2m is a slight concern for HENNING on the quick switch to a handicap but she retains plenty of potential so is the most persuasive option. Capture The Action isn’t an easy ride but is weighted to go close, with Karen’s Gift another to note.
14:15 – Lakomet Of Saints
The market will undoubtedly provide a useful guide but in a race lacking depth LAKOMET OF SAINTS has all the hallmarks of one who could take a step forward now handicapping in this sphere. A work-in-progress in 3 starts in juvenile maidens earlier this year, he had displayed fair form on the Flat previously and could just be worth chancing. Brandy Harbour has been knocking on the door and is feared, along with A Mere Bagatelle. O Mio Babbino completes the shortlist.

HAND OVER FIST stepped up on what he showed in maiden hurdles when third on handicap debut at Tramore and, with the promise of better to come, he could be the answer. Next on the list is another lightly-raced 5-y-o, Positive Thinker, who got back on track when placed in a Wexford maiden last time and he has been handed what looks a fair opening mark. Lake Chad is third choice, while Huit Reflets is also shortlisted and Storm Mahler is worth a second look now pitched into a handicap.
15:15 – Mahler Appeal
MAHLER APPEAL is far less exposed than most he meets here and took a step forward when runner-up on handicap debut at Galway (3m) 24 days ago. Further progress is distinctly possible on the back of just 4 career starts and he could be the answer. Problem Solver put it all together and relished the step up in trip when scoring at Tipperary in October and he’s feared, ahead of Well Polly.
15:45 – Shecouldbeanything
SHECOULDBEANYTHING was a ready winner of her point in the spring and having transferred to Gordon Elliott, she must have a strong chance of following up. Gilt Ride and Della Casa Lunga are a couple of potential threats.
