16:40 Kempton – Dowtown Dubai

Showed very little on his first three starts and that’s why he received an opening handicap mark of 56. He then ran slightly better when stepped up to the sharp 7 furlongs at Wolverhampton and was never going any better than right on top of the line. The step up to this one-turn mile will  Downtown Dubai much better as it gives him a little more time to get organised.

18:00 Dundalk – Jaafel

He is into ‘last chance saloon’ time as he has managed to place eight times from 17 runs without getting that elusive victory on the board. However, he ran a stormer last time over an inadequate 7 furlongs and the return to the mile trip will definitely suit Jaafel and help his rhythm. He gets his final chance today.

19:00 Dundalk – Hotrocket

Showed clear signs of ability on all of his starts so far, reaching a mid-80s rating the first twice and stepping up last time to win very easily by five-and-a-half-lengths at Fairyhouse. Hotrocket has switched stables to Joseph O’Brien’s which is certainly not a negative. The trainer and jockey Dylan Browne Mcmonagle are both in sparkling form and this looks a logical step before he progresses further up the ratings ladder.

19:15 Kempton – Nolton Cross

He has built himself a very decent profile on the polytracks with a top-two finish on four out of six tries. Nolton Cross seems flexible as regards distance and this 1m 4f trip looks ideal, judged by the way he got going late on last time at Southwell. The yard’s winning statistics don’t jump out at you but have had a lot of runners hit the board recently.

19:45 Kempton – Noble Order

Godolphin’s runner is related to some very decent performers and he finds himself stepping into a handicap on what looks a very reasonable mark of 86. We haven’t seen him for 293 days and he has had a gelding and a wind operation also. Noble Order is already a course and distance winner and we may well see this lad on all weather finals day next year, unless he takes up an assignment over in Dubai during the winter.

20:30 Dundalk – Two Two Time

Had shown a bit of ability when trained in England by James Fanshawe but has taken a little time to settle into the new regime at Adrian McGuinness’ yard. Two two time now finds herself a good way lower than her starting point ,but off a mark of just 54, can surely be competitive. The trip, track and draw look like they have all fallen into place for her to record a first Irish win.
