12:35 – Scriptwriter

I like Scriptwriter for Milton Harris. He’s won his only start over hurdles at Sedgefield and he’s well in with the handicapper. Milton and Paddy Brennan had a great season last time out and they can go well here.

13:10 – Didero Vallis

Venetia Williams’ runner Didero Vallis has a chance here. He was once trained by Willie Mullins but he’s been with Venetia for a while now. He was third in the Kim Muir at the Cheltenham Festival behind Chambard and Mister Coffey and he’s rated well.

13:45 – Tommys Oscar

From what I hear, there are some doubts over Monmiral’s jumping so I’m siding with Tommys Oscar, who impressed when winning at Carlisle last month. Danny McMenamin rode that day and he’s on board again. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Banbridge outstay them all but I’ll tentatively side with Tommys Oscar.

14:20 – French Dynamite

This has been the plan for French Dynamite and he ticks a lot of boxes for me. He has the pace to win over 2m2f and he has the stamina to win over 2m7f. He also had a brilliant run at Punchestown over 2m5f behind El Barra. That’s an outstanding run and he can do it all.

14:55 – Sidi Ismael

Shearer has a chance but I like Sidi Ismael for David Pipe, with Tom Scudamore on board. He won well at Worcester last time out which was his first run since his wind operation. He’s only gone up 5lbs for that too. He has form over the trip and he’s back to the horse he was last year.

15:30 – Unanswered

Wiseguy didn’t particularly impress me at Doncaster last time out so I’m with Unanswered. He bolted home at Punchestown earlier this year and he was second twice at the Galway Festival in the summer. He had a run in October and it looks lined up for him to win.

16:05 – Luccia

Willie is sending over Williamstowndancer for this after her win at Punchestown in October, where she kept on well. She doesn’t show a lot of speed at home and she’ll probably struggle to beat Luccia of Nicky Henderson.
