The Paddy Power Stayers’ Hurdle (16:00) tops the bill on the third day of the Cheltenham Festival as last year’s winner Teahupoo attempts to retain the crown. There is further Grade 1 action on the card courtesy of the Ryanair Chase (15:20) which sees Fact To File and Il Est Francais bid to snatch the title from Protektorat.

The Grade 2 Jack Richards Novices’ Limited Handicap Chase (14:00) has attracted a maximum field of 20 runners including C&D scorer Springwell Bay and Firefox, who hit the post on two occasions in top-level novice hurdles last term. Elsewhere on the card, Nicky Henderson will be hoping Jeriko Du Reponet can bounce back to winning form in the Pertemps Network Final Handicap Hurdle (14:40).

The Grade 3 Irish Stallion Farms EBF Shannon Spray Mares Novice Hurdle (13:00) is the feature at Limerick and Hexham also stages Jumps action.

The all-weather fixtures in the evening at Chelmsford and Newcastle round off proceedings.
