12:40 – Polar Bear

A typically open renewal of the Birdcatcher. POLAR BEAR has reportedly strengthened up during the course of the season and he looked good here three weeks ago, and at home on the testing ground. Lisieux is another with nothing to prove on the ground and she’s feared most, along with Mile End.

13:15 – Curraheen Princess

Earls has never been in better form as he bids to win this race for a third successive year but he is on a career-high mark. The same is true of the admirably consistent CURRAHEEN PRINCESS but Daniel King takes off a valuable 7lb. Sounds Of Spring also makes the shortlist.

13:50 – Sierra Blanca

Aidan O’Brien’s SIERRA BLANCA is a Group horse running in a maiden and he should be extremely difficult to beat. Walsingham and Sprewell both have high-profile entries for next season and they shaped with considerable promise on their latest starts.

14:25 – Helvic Dream

Noel Meade’s HELVIC DREAM (nap) takes a significant drop in class from contesting Group 1s and these terms are most favourable. Emporio and Current Option are closely matched on a recent encounter and they could make it interesting.

14:57 – Duke De Sessa

DUKE DE SESSA was a revelation at Longchamp and, with a lot less to do here, he is hard to oppose on ground he likes for his local handler. Yaxeni rarely disappoints and should give it a good go.

If THE SHUNTER could achieve a Racing Post Rating of 91 over a grossly inadequate trip last time it suggests he should have enough in hand now. Powerful Aggie is feared on that fine run in this 12 months ago, albeit this season hasn’t offered so much.

Hard to solve and it may pay to look for extra places. BOHER ROAD’s maiden win at the Curragh didn’t get a form boost since but that wasn’t his fault and he is open to more. Team Of Firsts could potentially bounce back to last year’s form too.
