Each and every day of the racing year we bring you a bumper NAPs Table to give you the inside scoop on all the plays you’ll need that day.

FANCY A CHANCE TO WIN €/£50K?

Don’t know what a NAPs Table is? We’ll tell you! It’s an independently run competition involving the cream of the British and Irish racing press whose positions in the table are based on their profits to Level Stakes. And just like all sports competitions worldwide, those doing best are towards the top of the table.

So, we decided to put that golden guide to the test and use it to steer you towards what could be a savvy Lucky 15 (4 horses, 15 bets) today. The four you’ll see below are the selections of some of the top-performing tipsters in the Table. Let’s get to the picks…

13:30 Doncaster – Moon De Vega (The Sun)

The shortlist is headed by MOON DE VEGA and Star Fortress, who both represent a yard that has a very good record in this contest. The selection is particularly interesting back at the scene of her soft-ground win last autumn, while Star Fortress remains open to further progress. The William Haggas-trained fillies Sweet Believer (third choice) and Mellow Yellow are next on the shortlist, ahead of Misty Dancer and Darmoiselle. Last year’s runner-up Something Enticing is also hard to dismiss, while Life Of Dreams has to be respected. As the number of runners mentioned suggests, this is open and competitive.

13:50 Wincanton – Cap Du Nord (Telegraph)

Frodon has been re-routed from the Grade 1 at Down Royal that he won on his reappearance last season and he could be too classy for these off his reduced handicap mark. However, he is likely to race prominently off what’s sure to be a strong gallop and one who may well land a telling late blow is CAP DU NORD, who should be all the better for his comeback run. Lord Accord and Slipway are respected on the back of career highs.

13:58 Down Royal – Nibiru (Daily Record)

Between them, Tony Martin and Gordon Elliott have seven of the 13 runners. Martin may land the prize with NIBIRU who had stablemate Tudor City behind when they clashed on the Flat last time. Elliott could go close with Ebasari who should be suited by a return to a shorter trip after a Punchestown run that gives him an edge over Charlie Parcs. Pinkerton also deserves respect.

14:11 Aintree – Broken Halo (Daily Mail)

The lightly raced 7yo BROKEN HALO has impressed when winning in small fields on two of his last three starts and the in-form Paul Nicholls knows what it takes in this race, having won three of the last nine runnings. Topweight Two For Gold is second choice now back down in trip, having run well for a long way until his stamina evaporated in April’s Grand National. The 6yo Gesskille is next on the list having won a Listed chase in France when last seen in June, while Percussion and Cooper’s Cross are further out of the handicap but are interesting nevertheless.
