13:08 – Pentland Hills
Aucunrisque has shown he can jump a fence but he was an inferior hurdler to PENTLAND HILLS and concedes 6lb to him here. Nicky Henderson’s 7yo was always a good jumper of his hurdles and a recent hard-earned Flat victory on the back of a long absence shows that the fire still burns.

13:43 – Sedge Wren
All three should go well but Martalindy carries a penalty for beating a below-par favourite (if judged on her bumper form) here last time and Maridadi is no great shakes despite her positive debut for Neil King. It might pay to chance SEDGE WREN, a well-bred filly who showed plenty of promise in her two bumpers and she gets the 4yo allowance.
14:13 – Kanukankan
The most convincing option is KANUKANKAN, who won on his stable debut in the summer and put in a fairly good front-running shift before his last-flight fall in a 0-120 handicap last month. His stablemate Watashock has the second best chance on the figures but a bigger threat may come from the 2020 winner of this race, Chef De Troupe, who has been placed in two recent Uttoxeter handicaps.

14:48 – Age of Sail
Admiralty House beat AGE OF SAIL at Kempton a fortnight ago, despite pulling hard for a big chunk of that race, but he remains a risky option and Gary Moore’s runner is 7lb better off this time. The tables might be turned here. Fils De Roi, a winner on slow ground in France last month, is also of strong interest.
15:32 – Dame Du Soir 11/2
A chance is taken on DAME DU SOIR, who lost her way a bit last season and might ideally prefer a stiffer stamina test than this, but she ran well at around this time last year after a break and begins the new season on a very tempting mark. Chasing debutant Monte Igueldo opened his hurdling account last month and is second choice.
15:58 – Barely Famous (NAP)
Multiple course winner Lord Sparky is much better known for his exploits over fences but looks very interesting on today’s return to hurdling, having easily collected a small-field chase here on his recent stable debut. However, preference is for BARELY FAMOUS (NAP) who has evidently been revitalised by Ryan Potter and now bids to complete a hat-trick.
