13:03 – Ludmilla
There are plenty of interesting newcomers here, including LUDMILLA who is a daughter of Kingman and out of the useful Listed winner Rostova. Rostova has already produced a couple of winners and Ludmilla is in excellent hands with John & Thady Gosden, so she catches the eye on debut. She will also have the assistance of Ryan Moore in the saddle.

13:38 – Warren Hill
As in the first division of this fillies’ novice, there are some well-bred newcomers on show, including the Roger Varian-trained WARREN HILL. Warren Hill, a daughter of No Nay Never, fetched 100,000 guineas as a yearling and is a half-sister to the smart Global Storm.
14:13 – In These Shoes
IN THESE SHOES failed to meet expectations when sixth on her nursery debut over this course and distance a few weeks ago, but she was only beaten a couple of lengths and remains a filly to be positive about. That was a strong nursery – the winning favourite Desert Order looks bound for Group races – and In These Shoes ought to find the front-running tactics easier to pull off in this lower grade. She looks well handicapped based on the form she showed in maidens.
14:48 – Ochestra
OCHESTRA produced his best effort yet when getting off the mark at Pontefract recently and he can defy a 4 lb rise in the weights here. Orchestra was possibly fortunate to win at Pontefract as he secured first run over the runner-up, but, even so, that still appeals as a decent piece of form. Orchestra also showed a likeable attitude under pressure and gave the impression that he will stay further, so there could be more to come over this extra furlong.
15:23 – Revich
REVICH hasn’t won this season but he has run some excellent races in defeat, most notably when third in the valuable Golden Mile at Goodwood in July. Revich also ran well when a close-up third off this mark at Ayr last month and he ought to give another good account here. The booking of ace apprentice Taylor Fisher, who is excellent value for his 7 lb claim, looks a good move and may enable Revich to gain a deserved success.

15:58 – Dream Of Love
DREAM OF LOVE boasts an excellent pedigree – she is by Shamardal and out of Oaks runner-up Secret Gesture who is a sister to Mogul and Japan – and she made a pleasing start to her career when successful in a seven-furlong maiden at this venue three weeks ago. Dream Of Love only won narrowly but she did well to prevail under a hands-and-heels ride having been held up further back than ideal in a steadily-run race. She should benefit from that experience and the step up in trip can also bring about further improvement.
16:33 – Migration
MIGRATION wasn’t at his best when eighth in the valuable Balmoral Handicap at Ascot a couple of weeks ago but he holds strong claims here based on the form he showed on his only previous outing this season when runner-up to Modern News in a good edition of the Spring Cup at Newbury in April. Migration will have no problem stepping back up in trip – his two wins last season came at around this distance – he handles cut in the ground and has very few miles on the clock this term, so he’s a big player.
17:08 – Pocket The Profit
POCKET THE PROFIT, a prolific winner last season, hasn’t won since scoring on his reappearance at Pontefract in April, but he has dropped back to a competitive mark and should be well suited by a strongly-run seven furlongs with cut in the ground. He needs to break more alertly than has sometimes been the case, including last time at Catterick, but he has the ability to make an impact.
