The Racing Post experts fancy Zyra's Lioness at 18:30.

17:30 – CONCERT BOY

The rematch between New Definition and Casamigos could go either way, with the latter open to progress back on AW. They are the leading form contenders but look hard to split. CONCERT BOY (nap) and Muy Muy Guapo are the two suggestions against the field, as they should improve for this surface judged on breeding, especially the former.[

18:00 – VAPE

Last week’s 5f winner Our Absent Friends has a great chance provided he’s as good returned to 6f. He’s open to further improvement and ahead of the assessor. VAPE, who went very close over this trip at Kempton on the same day that Our Absent Friends won at Newcastle, looks a solid alternative under similar conditions. Second choice is unexposed Woe Betide, ahead of Healing Power and Epic Express. A revival from Anificas Beauty looks possible.

18:30 – ZYRA’S LIONESS

Hidden Pearl looks the most likely to figure prominently, despite her poor win ratio, while Bird For Life also has strong each-way claims despite her disconcerting slow starts. They are preferred in that order but it might just be worth taking a chance on ZYRA’S LIONESS, who seemingly showed some benefit from a wind operation over this trip at Wolverhampton last time, a race in which the first two had gone well beyond recall before she emerged in third.

19:00 – GOT NO DOLLARS

Miss Bella Brand makes most appeal among those drawn low but 6f may be her ideal. It could be that GOT NO DOLLARS and G’Daay are the best options despite their high draws and the former is particularly interesting now that he’s got a run under his belt following his summer break. There is a lot to like about his record at Chelmsford and Kempton.

19:30 – FAST DANSEUSE

The suggestion is FAST DANSEUSE, who looks favourably weighted off her current mark and with Deon Le Roux taking off a handy 7lb. The selection shaped well on her most recent AW start and is taken to open her account. Tara and Audit are other maidens who could go well, while Pensa Te is a possible improver. As regards the runners who already have winning form, the C&D scorers Dark Kris (second choice) and Laurentia warrant respect along with Guitar. The change of headgear may help Ascraeus, who is another to consider in an open race.

20:00 – CHARMING KID

The shortlist is headed by CHARMING KID and Dream Game, who are closely matched on a recent line through Howzak, which is rather apt as that sprinter won this contest 12 months ago. Being 2lb ahead of the assessor swings the vote narrowly in favour of Charming Kid. Sir Rodneyredblood, Angle Land and Glasstrees are other solid contenders in that order of preference.

20:30 – IDEE FIXEE

Based on a combination of form shown and long-term potential, the well-bred 3yos IDEE FIXEE and Modaara look the biggest players. They are similarly appealing and it could go either way, so preference for Idee Fixee is only marginal. Market confidence behind interesting newcomer George Eliot should be heeded.
