A race that gives something a good opportunity of getting off the mark. Sainte Dona has solid claims on her Wexford run and could well come on for her run at Fairyhouse. The most solid prospect though is CLAIRMC who might just have needed the run at Galway last time and might not get many better opportunities.

14:20 – Elusive Rebeldom

Hat-trick seeking top-weight Gaius sets a good standard here and is certainly the one to beat. He has little leeway with the handicapper though, and among plenty of potential dangers, perhaps one that might take beating is ELUSIVE REBELDOM. He comes here on the back of a good run at Killarney and the step up in trip should suit.

14:55 – Halibut

Good bumper form holds the key to this contest. Gillians Charm and Landrake are probably good enough to win a maiden hurdle on their bumper form, but HALIBUT looks potentially useful on his two Punchestown efforts in the Spring and he should take the beating here.

15:30 – Marelly

A race in which it may pay to stick with those towards the top of the handicap. Hey Johnny and Downthecellar hold strong claims but Listowel second MARELLY could have that bit more improvement in him and is taken to confirm Listowel form with Lily Of Dromard, who rates a big threat back on her favoured ground.

16:05 – Good World

Having won in some style at Tipperary, GOOD WORLD (nap) can follow up off an 8lb higher mark under his talented claiming rider. Hat-trick seeking Winning Rascal is an obvious danger but may not be suited by this softer ground, while top-weight Ballykeel is one who should appreciate the prevailing ground conditions.

16:40 – Magic Daze

This looks a nice opportunity for MAGIC DAZE on her seasonal return before heading on to bigger things.

Inexperience could count against some these, including top-weight Cottie, who needs to improve her jumping. WHERE’S BUNNY can complete the hat-trick and confirm Tramore form with Alexharwill, although both Hilltop Supreme and Fly De Megaudais can’t be discounted if returning to form.
