Each and every day of the racing year we bring you a bumper NAPs Table to give you the inside scoop on all the plays you’ll need that day.

WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS!

Don’t know what a NAPs Table is? We’ll tell you! It’s an independently run competition involving the cream of the British and Irish racing press whose positions in the table are based on their profits to Level Stakes. And just like all sports competitions worldwide, those doing best are towards the top of the table.

So, we decided to put that golden guide to the test and use it to steer you towards what could be a savvy Lucky 15 (4 horses, 15 bets) today. The four you’ll see below are the selections of some of the top-performing tipsters in the Table. Let’s get to the picks…

14:10 Nottingham – California Gem (Daily Record)

The shortlist is headed by the in-form 2yos CALIFORNIA GEM and The Thames Boatman, who both get the benefit of a hefty age allowance now taking on their elders. Fast Response, Tarhib, Helvetique and Fantasy Master are very solid contenders among the older runners, in that order of preference.

14:15 Curragh – Cnodian (Racing Post)

Billy Lee, who was on the beaten favourite win the race in which CNODIAN was second here on Sunday, now takes over with good prospects on the Willie McCreery-trained filly. Lee would also have been in line to ride Inventor for Gillian Scott, so his choice is significant. He is also familiar with Swift Flight who has gone up 5lb for a recent second over 5f. Nordic Passage boasts useful course form and could go well if fully primed after a break.

14:35 Chepstow – Uncle Arthur (The Guardian)

The Highclere recruit Beau Balko could conceivably be all the rage on his first start for Paul Nicholls, having scored in such untroubled style in a 2m1f Flat race on his only start in France. However, it might be worth siding instead with UNCLE ARTHUR who has been snapped up by another leading syndicate, Million In Mind, since he won a bumper in June when carrying the colours of his trainer Nigel Twiston-Davies. Pataille is another one to note from bumpers, while Deafening Silence won well in a maiden point. The hurdles form is not persuasive.

15:25 Curragh – Derry Lad (The Sun)

This couldn’t be much more competitive. The tentative vote goes to DERRY LAD who has been knocking on the door since his win earlier in the campaign and he was an eyecatcher when runner-up last week. Last time out winners Speckled Meadow and King Arthurs Sword ought to go well again while Newgirlintown will relish a step back up in trip.

Wednesday’s Lucky 15:

14:10 Nottingham – California Gem
14:15 Curragh – Cnodian
14:35 Chepstow – Uncle Arthur
15:25 Curragh – Derry Lad
