So, we decided to put that golden guide to the test and use it to steer you towards what could be a savvy Lucky 15 (4 horses, 15 bets) today. The four you’ll see below are the selections of some of the top-performing tipsters in the Table. Let’s get to the picks…
15:15 Cheltenham – The Widdow Maker
This can go to THE WIDDOW MAKER, who is unexposed over fences and ran a big race when upped to Grade 1 company in April. Joe Tizzard’s free-going 8yo will presumably be ridden very positively over today’s shorter trip and could be hard to catch. Editeur Du Gite begins the new season on a lofty mark but he runs this track very well and is feared most. Clear The Runway is next on the list.
15:45 Leopardstown – Saltonstall
A few with claims but it’s hard to get away from SALTONSTALL who is at his best on testing ground and looks well handicapped despite a 4lb rise for his recent success. Stablemate Spanish Tenor will appreciate a return to this C&D. If she gets an easy lead, Shanghai Dragon could be a danger to all.
16:10 Doncaster – Lullaby Bay
Having been denied a clear run when fifth in a handicap at Redcar two starts ago, LULLABY BAY ran a cracker when beaten a nose in a conditions race at Musselburgh 12 days ago, and she can go one better here. 3l York winner Kimngrace is unexposed in the cheekpieces and on soft ground and is feared most, with old rival Vintage Clarets next on the list. Designer and Count D’Orsay could also be involved.
19:00 Chelmsford – Laheg
The candidate with the most potential is LAHEG who probably needed his reappearance before shaping well at Wolverhampton three weeks ago. Today’s drop in distance should be ideal and he’s selected to get the better of the in-form Cooperation, with Secret Moment, Twilight Madness and Silver Kitten also considered.
