14:20 Doncaster – Soul Sister (The Times)

The Gosdens’ SOUL SISTER is bred to be useful and earns the vote ahead of fellow newcomer Winter’s Love, who represents Godolphin. Doom was a very close third at Newcastle on her second start and is next on the list, while the Sir Michael Stoute-trained Humankind is another interesting contender.

14:25 Sligo – Joeswayornoway (The Sun)

Having been in fine form over fences lately, JOESWAYORNOWAY might be able to notch a win back over hurdles around a circuit that will suit her freegoing style. She’s Tobias and Angelsworknovrtime are of interest on their handicap debuts.

14:45 Cheltenham – Saint Riquier (Racing Post)

The Irish field a strong team but SAINT RIQUIER was second in a Grade 2 juvenile contest on his only visit to Cheltenham and the form of his Warwick handicap win in May also reads pretty well in this context. He gets the nod ahead of She Is Electric, who collected a Listed prize last month and ought to make a bold bid from the front. Music Drive, Flaming Moon and Wild Shot also feature prominently in calculations.

15:10 Newbury – Juan Bermudez (Daily Record)

This galloping track could see the sizeable Beny Nahar Road (second choice) in a better light and he should appreciate the greater test of stamina. Frantastic faces lesser opposition than last time and isn’t fully exposed but this may go the way of JUAN BERMUDEZ. A winner on soft ground last year, he ran in a hot Leicester novice when last seen in April and is open to plenty of improvement now handicapping. Money for the ex-French Caraghann would be interesting too.
