Eglish is very likeable and very consistent but I’m going for Santa Catarina for Willie Browne. Seamie Heffernan takes the ride and she had a solid third-place finish at Bellewstown in September. She’s also had good runs at Sligo and Gowran Park earlier this year. The all-weather track will suit her.
The more I look at the card, the more I like Scarlet Angel. She finished second at Bellewstown last time out in August and that form has held up. She’s off a mark of 70 and she’s a big player. It’s a golden opportunity for her to get off the mark.

I’m taking on Tawaazon and I like Jered Maddox. He’s dropping down in grade and he’s off a rating of 65 for Dave Marnane. One negative is that he hasn’t ran since June. I also like Inishmot Prince and I’m going to give him one more chance. He ran some strange races on turf but he’s back to 6f on the all-weather track and that’s the sweet spot for him.
This is a wide open race and I’m taking a chance on Beleaguerment for James McAuley. He won the race last year and he’s dropped down the weights. He’s got a good inside draw so he can get cover.
I’m keen on Vanguard Star, who has had two decent runs in Listed company. His run at the Curragh last week after a four month break was really good. He travelled well into the race and he stayed on too. He’s got a good draw as well.
This is a proper race and Manaccan is the standout. He could be a different class to the rest. His win at Ascot last time out was really impressive and I was taken by him.
I’m going to stick with Londoner for Aidan O’Brien. He was an eye-catcher on his debut at Navan last time out. Once into the final furlong he kicked on really well. I liked the way he ran through the line too.
I’m with Fawkner Park for Joseph O’Brien. He’s open to progress and he should shine on the poly track. He’s had solid runs at Killarney and Leopardstown this month.
