Patience will be wearing a little thin with CARRIG ROCK (nap) if he spurns this opportunity as everything seems to be in his favour. If handling the likely testing ground, Western Comandor may be the chief threat.

15:35 – Huit Reflets

On paper, decent chaser Wa Wa should take all the beating off his much lower hurdles mark but HUIT REFLETS went close after a similar layoff at Gowran in March and will handle this ground better than most including, possibly, the former.

16:10 – Riaan

This looks like a good opportunity for RIAAN to get off the mark, having run fine races in defeat over 2m4f the last twice. He should stay. Suain Na Draoicht should also stay and looks his obvious danger.

16:45 – Broken Ice

This looks tricky. The suggestion is BROKEN ICE who has been in fine form over fences lately, including winning here last time, and is racing off a 10lb lower hurdles mark today. Alfieri, Gaius, Paidi’s Passion and The Abbey could give him most to do.

17:20 – Fun Fun Fun

A couple with decent placed form in bumpers, Trust Me Nate and Western Flyer, are obvious contenders but we’ll row in with the well-bred Mullins newcomer FUN FUN FUN although the market will be instructive with regard to the confidence behind her.
