16:35 Flatley (Yorkshire Post, The Duke)

FLATLEY came good at the 13th time of asking when coming from the rear to see off Dark Swansong over C&D 23 days ago. That race was run to suit those coming from off the pace so he perhaps isn’t an obvious one to defy even a 1lb nudge.

19:15 Dubai Station (Andrew Mount)

DUBAI STATION won a Class 2 Chelmsford handicap in May off a 2lb higher mark. Patchy record since, although latest C&D fifth was respectable.

19:45 Espirito (Lawrence Taylor)

ESPIRITO was perhaps flattered by his track position when just missing out at Haydock last week but there had been promise prior to that and it’s just a case of whether his lack of AW experience will find him out.

20:15 Holocene (Yorkshire Evening Post, Lee Sobot)

HOLOCENE is a lightly raced filly with a good pedigree. It wasn’t all plain sailing in the first-time cheekpieces when justifying short odds over 8.6f here last week but she was well on top at the finish and is 3lb well-in under a penalty. The longer trip will be no excuse.
