13:05 So Scottish
SO SCOTTISH was well backed to open his account over hurdles at Kilbeggan last month and it was hard not to be impressed by the manner of his win on chase debut at Tipperary 17 days ago. He was again strong in the market and he travelled powerfully throughout before cruising clear in the closing stages. He clearly arrives in top form and is hard to oppose in search of a third straight win. Stoner’s Choice just about shades the vote for the forecast spot over chasing-debutant Grand Voyage.

13:35 Maximilian
MAXIMILIAN was strong at the finish when winning both his bumper starts at this venue last season, and this point winner seems sure to relish this longer trip now hurdling and he can extend his unbeaten record under Rules to three (also successful in his sole start in points). Get Up Mush has joined a top outfit after finishing third on his sole outing in Irish points, so must be respected, along with wide-margin bumper winner Densworth.
14:10 We’ll Go Again
There are plenty in with a shout in a competitive handicap and it may pay to take a chance on WE’LL GO AGAIN. He did well under the circumstances when opening his account on debut for this yard at Market Rasen in July, and quickly dispelled a lesser effort when third at Southwell last month without being ideally placed. There could be more to come and he can prove too strong for Allbetsoff, who ran well when third at Warwick and is fairly treated back in a handicap, while Benson demands market attention on debut for a new yard.

14:45 No Cruise Yet
NO CRUISE YET has won three times since joining Sam England and has looked better than ever winning his last two starts, well backed when narrowly denying another improver at Carlisle last time and the pair pulled well clear of the remainder. He is up another 6 lb in the weights but appears to have been well placed here. Speak of The Devil can go well fresh so may give the selection most to think about.
15:20 Cooper’s Cross
COOPER’S CROSS confirmed the promise of his chasing debut when opening his account at Sedgefield last season, doing well to land a bit of a gamble after conceding first run to the runner-up but knuckling down well. He was again strong in the betting when last seen at Ayr in May and he was arguably unlucky not to come home in front, again giving the eventual winner a head start but this time unable to peg him back. The pair pulled well clear of the remainder and that looks solid form so he can get back on the scoreboard following another break. The reliable Road Warrior heads the list of dangers.
15:55 Killybeggs Junior
KILLYBEGGS JUNIOR has tasted success between the flags since last seen under Rules and makes plenty of appeal starting out for Fergal O’Brien, who does so well with new recruits, while the booking of Harry Skelton catches the eye. Fenland Tiger is a notable handicap debutant who should be well respected if the market speaks in his favour and The Great Georgie is another to keep an eye on.
16:30 Bouncing Bobby
Though BOUNCING BOBBY failed to shine in four starts over hurdles last season, he is of strong interest off a lowly mark here following a productive campaign on the Flat. Last year’s winner Headscarf Lil will surely make a bold bid to stage a repeat if fully tuned-up on the back of a six-month absence. She is second choice ahead of Ralphy Boy Two, who may well leave his previous hurdles form behind now pitched into a handicap.
