13:20 Windsor – Berrygar (The Sun)

A big field and a few runners of interest. Fen Tiger, Jacks Profit, Eagle’s Realm, Good Impression and Just Hiss all have something to recommend them but the two against the field are Richard P Smith and BERRYGAR. The former wasn’t winning out of turn at Yarmouth last week and this longer trip offers hope of better but the selection continues to leave the impression a bigger effort is around the corner.

14:25 Windsor – Coronation Cottage (Racing Post)

The 8yo mare CORONATION COTTAGE looks ready to win off her current mark and edges preference in a very open race. Ellie Piper has more going for her than most and Notre Maison is another to bear in mind.

16:20 Pontefract – Spear Fir (The Times)

Judged on a combination of her sprinting form and her pedigree, there appears to be a race of this nature in SPEAR FIR who is duly taken to get off the mark. Second choice is interesting handicap debutante Close Quarters, ahead of recent Leicester winner Special Mayson, class-dropper Shark Two One and in-form veteran Magical Effect.

17:40 Plumpton – Universal Island (The Guardian)

It’s impossible to be confident about any of these. The suggestion is UNIVERSAL ISLAND, who should improve for a test of stamina on her handicap debut. Stablemate Milanese Rose is next best ahead of Harry’s Hottie.
