WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS!

13:30 – Sounds of Heaven

Both Starry Eyed and SOUNDS OF HEAVEN showed plenty of promise on debut and preference is for the latter whose Gowran fourth looks all the better since last weekend. Bataan looks the most interesting of the newcomers.

14:05 – Peking Opera

Some interesting newcomers, notably Sea Gardens, and others who may take a big step forward from their debuts but Naas second PEKING OPERA falls into the latter category and has already shown a good level of ability.

14:35 – Tea Olive (NAP)

Noel Meade had four entered for this and the Colin Keane-partnered TEA OLIVE (nap) is chosen to score on nursery bow having caught the eye in a Galway maiden during the summer. Stablemate Grange Lady is also noted along while Tiymara, unfortunate to slip up at Listowel, represents a yard that has been doing notably well in this type of race this term.

15:10 – Run The Jewels

It’s a compressed handicap and joint top-weight RUN THE JEWELS can continue his progression after scoring readily at Listowel. Fellow Listowel winner Star Of Cashel is still on a decent mark and can go well again while Dazzling Spirit is a filly in form but will need them to go hard in front as she drops in distance.

15:45 – Lakota Seven

A failure to settle well contributed to the eclipse of LAKOTA SEVEN over 1m in the Beresford Stakes. He may enjoy better fortune over 7f in this grade and is marginally preferred to Cairo, a 1m maiden winner now given another shot at 7f following a Listed second over this trip at Dundalk. First-time-out winner Bold Discovery could test them both.

16:20 – Lyrical Poetry

There could be more to come from the unbeaten Goodie Two Shoes and she can uphold Punchestown form with Monaasib who in turn holds an edge over Georgeville, winner of this race last year. However, the one to beat could be LYRICAL POETRY, not beaten far in a Group 2 contest last time.

16:55 – Realism

Though possibly flattered by the 103 mark obtained after a Group 3 third behind stablemate Luxembourg, REALISM should be good enough to cope with Rare Middleton and Fawkner Park who both showed potential for maiden success when placed first time out.

17:30 – Teed Up

Having run poorly on his final two starts for Ken Condon, TEED UP, in good shape over hurdles at Galway, is well treated on his excellent 2020 form for the Condon yard. Golden Twilight heads the list of likely dangers in an open race. Lunar Power, Safecracker and In From The Cold can be short-listed.
