Don’t know what a NAPs Table is? We’ll tell you! It’s an independently run competition involving the cream of the British and Irish racing press whose positions in the table are based on their profits to Level Stakes. And just like all sports competitions worldwide, those doing best are towards the top of the table.
So, we decided to put that golden guide to the test and use it to steer you towards what could be a savvy Lucky 15 (4 horses, 15 bets). The four you’ll see below are the selections of some of the top-performing tipsters in the Table. Let’s get to the picks…
The prolific pair Kap Auteuil and Tommie Beau return from lengthy absences, but both are proven fresh and the latter is particularly worthy of respect given his record of 3-3 at Fakenham. However, the vote goes to SHETLAND BUS who avoids a penalty for his recent Stratford success. He will be 5lb higher in future and the stable won this last year.
The two big-field sprint handicaps at the last meeting here on September 24 (staged on good to soft ground) were dominated by high-drawn horses, with STERLING KNIGHT one of those to take advantage. He is unexposed in the cheekpieces, and on slow ground, and this 3yo is taken to follow up from stall 13 of 13. Punchbowl Flyer hasn’t been at his best this year but the testing conditions will be right up his street and he’s second choice ahead of Sky Blue Pink and Air Raid.

Representing Bob and Tea For Free (preferred in that order) have made excellent starts to their chasing careers and both still have fairly low mileage but the suggestion in a very competitive race for the grade is MIDNIGHTGLANCE, who ran well in defeat behind a resurgent rival here last month.
It’s surprising that KINGSOFTHEMIDLANDS has not tried some form of headgear until now as the ability is there to win a race of this nature. Prakasa is the obvious danger, with Godolphin castoff Zarabanda and Compliant the others likely to be involved.
