Nottingham 13:10 – Fox Journey (On The Nose, Expert Eye)

FOX JOURNEY was a 100,000gns yearling. Weak 13-2, out the back 2f out in novice at Newbury last month but made good late headway into sixth of 14. With substantial improvement likely, he’s a strong each-way contender.

Nottingham 15:30 – Marhaba The Champ (Daily Record, Garry Owen)

MARHABA THE CHAMP had wind surgery after reappearance and both starts since have been big steps forward. Won handicap debut in ten-runner race at Hamilton 16 days ago in clearcut style, always close up and going on 2f out. Return to 1m2f should be no problem. Raised 6lb but has turned a corner and is probably still capable of better.

16:57 Kempton – Havana Goldrush (Racing Post, Lambourn)

HAVANA GOLDRUSH was a dual AW winner at about 1m last winter but has struggled a bit since back from a break in August and this is his first 7f run since debut.

19:30 Kempton – Alfred Cove (Sunday Telegraph, Whistler)

ALFRED COVE matched peak RPR of 67 when second in novice company last week but may not reproduce that form back in a handicap over this extra furlong.
