WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS!

13:25 – Harsh (NAP)

n the back of a promising Galway debut run HARSH (nap) could take plenty of beating here, having shown his ability to act on soft ground at Ballybrit. He can confirm form with Trachonitus, a bigger threat could come from the newcomer North Dorset. Ground concerns would surround Milwaukee, while fellow Ballydoyle challenger Hippodrome has a bit to prove now.

14:00 – Gozen

This could boil down to a duel between two first-time-out winners who showed significant promise, while also betraying a certain amount of inexperience. Having edged out a subsequent Group 3 scorer at Punchestown, GOZEN arguably has stronger claims than Be Happy, who beat two subsequent maiden winners, including Speirling Beag, at Cork.

14:35 – Pretty Rebel

Only two of these boast a current rating in three figures. The vote goes to the 100-rated PRETTY REBEL who has been progressive in recent months. My Eyes Adore You owes her 100 rating to a much-improved dispay when fourth in a Group 3 race at Naas, and she is not certain to uphold the form of that race with Pirate Jenny. Others to consider are Beautiful Sunshine and Prettiest.

15:10 – Urban Beat

Last month’s Joe McGrath Premier Handicap over C&D could prove key. URBAN BEAT travelled notably well that day when finishing fifth and now with his rider claiming 7lb he is taken to reverse that form with second-placed Curraheen Princess. Course regulars Big Gossey and Verhoyen should ensure a strong pace.

15:45 – Away To Sea

Although still a maiden AWAY TO SEA has shaped well in a couple of staying handicaps to suggest he can pick up one of these, especially on this easier ground. Plenty of dangers, including the likes of Como Park, Autumn Evening and Harry’s Legacy.

16:20 – Firstman

Tony Martin’s runner FIRSTMAN has found a good vein of form and has the very experienced Maxine O’Sullivan aboard. Jody Townend’s mount Beautiful Chaos is an obvious danger. Weddell Sea has a big chance on hurdles form, and the same applies to the long-absent Sacchoandvanzetti.

16:55 – Notforalongtime

A C&D event two weeks ago could provide the key, and fifth-placed NOTFORALONGTIME, who is well drawn, may turn the tables on the fourth Knocknakilla. Redstone Well is unexposed relative to many of the seasoned handicappers in the field. Dragon Of Malta has been running well, and Laytown winner Coeur D’Or is another possibility.

17:30 – Mogwli

A dual C&D winner, MOGWLI, is now 1lb lower than when winning the latest of those at the start of the year, so is a hopeful choice in a wide open affair. His stablemate, Cnodian, should go well too. Recent Navan winner Conversant has to be respected. Others to have a squeak include Heavenly Power, Princess Sela, Lion Ring, Sounds Of Spring and Miss Molly T.
