Each and every day of the racing year we bring you a bumper NAPs Table to give you the inside scoop on all the plays you’ll need that day.

WIN £/€100,000 WITH PADDY’S PICK 5 THIS SATURDAY!

Don’t know what a NAPs Table is? We’ll tell you! It’s an independently run competition involving the cream of the British and Irish racing press whose positions in the table are based on their profits to Level Stakes. And just like all sports competitions worldwide, those doing best are towards the top of the table.

WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS!

So, we decided to put that golden guide to the test and use it to steer you towards what could be a savvy Lucky 15 (4 horses, 15 bets). The four you’ll see below are the selections of some of the top-performing tipsters in the Table. Let’s get to the picks…

14:40 York – Empirestateofmind (The Sun)

Substantial would usually make plenty of appeal being unexposed and representing a top yard, but he is berthed one from the outside and four of the last five runnings have gone to stall 4 or lower. EMPIRESTATEOFMIND, drawn in 5, has been in fine form in his last four outings (improving his RPR each time) and is taken to come out on top. Bopedro is becoming better handicapped and looks the pick of the three representing last year’s winning stable, while Helm Rock, Arthur’s Realm, Master Zoffany and last year’s fourth La Trinidad also enter serious calculations. Isla Kai could be an interesting outsider if the ground is softer than good.

15:07 Downpatrick – Ask The Leader (Expert Eye)

Though she is off a career-high mark after a fine win over slightly further here last time, ASK THE LEADER is proven on easy ground and with rain forecast, can win again. There shouldn’t be much between Trisknowsbest and Darkest Hour. Ballinlough Gale should be on the premises.

15:35 Newmarket – Sparkling Beauty (Racing Post)

In the last decade, since the two races got shuffled around, the three fillies who attempted the Rockfel and Fillies’ Mile double all failed. That’s not to say Commissioning cannot break the mould, as she’s clear on the figures in this field, but it’s only two weeks since her Rockfel success and all of her rivals are fresher. While the Gosden filly is hugely respected on ratings, SPARKLING BEAUTY is an interesting alternative at bigger odds and may be able to give Richard Hughes a first Group win as a trainer. Second choice is Bright Diamond who also looks open to plenty of further progress. Polly Pott was a substandard winner of the May Hill but comes here seeking a five-timer and her limitations are not yet exposed.

16:00 Chepstow – Sonigino (The Telegraph)

For all that See The Sea is highly likeable, some of today’s rivals are probably better handicapped. SONIGINO (nap) has dropped in the ratings for a reason but there were some seriously promising signs from him last season when evidently a work in progress. A subsequent wind operation could be key. Nina The Terrier and Holly – feared in that order – are mares with plenty of upside on entering their second seasons over hurdles.

Friday’s Lucky 15:

14:40 York – Empirestateofmind
15:07 Downpatrick – Ask The Leader
15:35 Newmarket – Sparkling Beauty
16:00 Chepstow – Sonigino
