13:42 – Tuddenham Green

Rolypolymoly has cheek pieces on for the first time to help him concentrate, but his problem will be carrying the double penalty for winning his last two starts. He has to conceded 10lbs to the rest of the field and that makes life very difficult.

It looks a toss-up between the two unraced challengers as there looks very little between Age of Sail for trainer Gary Moore who looks a stayer in the making given his Flat form.

However, Alan King has such a good record with juveniles that his TUDDENHAM GREEN gets the nod.

14:17 – Tea Clipper

TEA CLIPPER won a novice chase at this meeting last year and races off the same mark again. He finished fourth in a very competitive handicap chase over three miles at the Cheltenham Festival too so is talented. Added to that, his record when fresh after a break is good and he gets a confident vote from me.

El Presente is not without at a nice price and ran a big race for a long way when defending his Badger Beer Chase crown at Wincanton last November, but hasn’t run since.

14:52 – McFabulous

A Listed Novice Chase see MCFABULOUS make his debut over obstacles It is very hard to look past this son of Milan who has been running in graded company over hurdles. He should be too good for these, but Jane Williams’ four-year-old Interne De Sivola gets the weight allowance which will help, but he has a bit to find on the ratings.

15:27 – Paint the Dream

PAINT THE DREAM is higher in the ratings than when winning this race last year but is still the one to beat. The faster they go the better he’ll be as he travels very strongly in his races and  jumps well.

16:02 – Masters Legacy

Another who won and this meeting last year before his form tailed off at the end of the season. MASTERS LEGACY races off the same mark again but has had a wind operation also during the summer. Trainer Philip Hobbs has been among the winners   this season already.

The runner-up 12 months ago Didtheyleaveyoutto races off only a 2lbs higher mark and should be fit from running on the Flat. He loves a big-field handicap and is a solid each-way option.

16:37 – Impulsive One

Nicky Henderson has his team in good form and IMPULSIVE ONE carries top weight but his opening handicap mark is justified as he has some good form to his name in Grade One contests. That’s something that can’t be said for a lot of the others. Hopefully his price is kind to us.

17:12 – Pentire Head

PENTIRE HEAD cost £145,000 as a 3three-year-old, so you would hope that he can win a bumper like this and trainer Paul Nicholls has won this contest for the past two seasons.

Lazy O is from a shrewd Irish outfit so keep an eye on the market for this well-bred newcomer from the family of former Irish 1,000 Guineas winner Tarascon.
