This looks competitive with the tentative vote going to BORN INVINCIBLE who should appreciate a return to more testing conditions following a good fourth last week. Let’s Believe will be a big threat to the selection if ready to go on her return after a promising handicap debut when last seen. Course winner, Conversant, is capable of going well fresh.

A gelding procedure helped HYPERNOVA get off the mark on his penultimate outing and the form of his close up third at Gowran last time has been boosted since. If Joseph O’Brien’s three-year-old handles conditions, he looks like the one to beat. Gegenpressing has also had the form of his win last week boosted. First-time cheekpieces may help Micky The Steel who went close again last time.

Several interesting newcomers, notably Londoner, Up And Under, Fort Vega plus Mr King and significant market moves for any should be noted. However, it is difficult to oppose YOUNG IRELAND on the form of his Beresford Stakes third last time, so he gets the nod. Salt Lake City is a player if returning to his debut run, while The First And Last is also of interest.

Having got off the mark last time over slightly further, RED TRAIL is lightly-raced and could be able to defy a 4lb higher mark from a good draw. In contrast, Barretstown, Marvel Fan and Everylittlestep have tougher tasks from wide draws. Ellaat, Complete Fiction, Tall Story and Insulate have squeaks too.

Though a maiden on turf, ROCKVIEW ROMAN ran a cracker after a break at Gowran last time and has a sound chance of getting off the mark now. Recent winners Our Dickie and Kartayaz are players but have tougher tasks off higher marks today. Derry Lad, Brave Troop and Angel On Fire have chances, while if third reserve Forgetmenotblue got a run, she would have a big chance.
