13:15 – Music Drive

Gordon Elliott’s MUSIC DRIVE was the best of these in bumpers and should benefit from going up in trip for his hurdling debut. Ahead Of The Posse and Maidenstreetprince are the pick of the opposition.

13:50 – Time Marches On (NAP)

Four of these are running in a handicap for the first time including 2m Navan maiden winner Pats Choice who should be suited by this trip. However, preference is for TIME MARCHES ON (NAP) who has run well in bumpers and maiden hurdles and may benefit from the addition of cheekpieces. Hgranca De Thaix should go close if reappearing in peak form after a good break.

14:25 – Musical Ava

This will not take much winning and the bar is set low for Gap Of Dunloe after a long absence. However, it may be worth taking a chance with veteran mare MUSICAL AVA who gave new connections some grounds for optimism when fifth at Tramore. The Chapel Field and Lesssaidthebetter make some appeal.

15:00 – Jon Snow

A smart race. JON SNOW has long promised plenty and is delivering now. His main threat looks to be Frontal Assault, who is nearly a stone better off with Bacardys than would be the case in a handicap.

15:35 – Hallowed Star

HALLOWED STAR looks the one now, though giving all that weight to Iberique Du Seuil renders it no easy task. Most of these have little chance so the third-favourite will be appealing to each-way bettors, probably Fameaftertheglory.

16:10 – Jeremys Flame

This race has a lovely each-way make-up if they all show up. Kitty Galore could be hard to reel in back in trip. She put pressure on her rivals’ jumping at Listowel. JEREMYS FLAME can pick up the pieces.

16:45 – Wasthatok

There was plenty of chat about WASTHATOK prior to his debut at Fairyhouse and he may be seen to much better effect now having had time to mature. Derek O’Connor sticks with him, possibly significant in that his point-to-point link with Sam Curling implies he might have had the option of riding the potentially interesting Walkonthebriteside, a half-brother to the talented Champ. The Mullins newcomer Alibaba and point winner Affordale Fury are likely dangers.
