Moore rides Emily Dickinson here, but I think Perotan is the more progressive of the O’Brien pair, and if you can back her in a match bet with her stable-companion, I’d recommend doing so.

Hard to oppose Kyprios, but the slight question as to how he will handle the ground means I’d rather back Princess Zoe each-way. She was below form in the Irish St Leger, but beat Quickthorn earlier in the season, and is respected as a past winner of this race.

Addeybb could make a mockery of his price if finding his old form, but that’s a big ‘if’ and preference is for the progressive West Wind Blows, who was unsuited by setting a modest pace in the Gordon Stakes and showed improved form when taking a Group 3 here last month under a change of tactics.

The Revenant is very much respected, but I’m sure there’s more to come from Triple Time after his recent Haydock win. Kevin Ryan couldn’t hide his admiration for this colt, and he will come on appreciably for the run having sustained an injury in preparation for the 2000 Guineas, for which he was quietly fancied.
