SMILING JAYNE made all to win a 1m2f maiden handicap at Pontefract in May. Ran at least as well in defeat on her last two starts and still on the up. She will need further progress after her latest 2lb rise though.
15:29 Catterick – Sunningdale (Racing Post, Lambourn)
SUNNINGDALE is knocking on the door, just edged out when an excellent second in 7f Ascot nursery 25 days ago. Up 2lb but he merits serious consideration in his bid for a maiden success.
17:25 Bellewstown – Magnetic North (Irish Herald, Ian Gaughran)
MAGNETIC NORTH was a 1m5f winner at Navan in the spring and nailed late at Roscommon three runs back. Often leads but not last time and the visor is back on.
18:00 Kempton – Dubai Icon (On The Nose, Expert Eye)
DUBAI ICON had a neck success off 2lb lower in similar event at Windsor in June. However, finished behind Baldomero the time before and may prove a tad vulnerable off top weight in this field.
