This could be a good opportunity for SANTA CATARINA to get her head in front. She a consistent sort at this level and if she finds any improvement for cheekpieces, she could be hard to beat. The Rebel Breen returned to form with a placed effort last week while Sweeping Statement should be involved if he gets away on terms.

She may still be a maiden but one of these should fall the way of WHAT ADAAY who showed a liking for this venue when runner-up over C&D last month before an even better effort at Listowel last week. Caesar’s Comet would be a big danger if he gets a run and the consistent Heer At Dawn can give another good account.
15:10 – Tara Power
Ransom is creeping up the weights without winning but he’s still feasibly handicapped on old form and should be involved again here. However, slight preference is for TARA POWER who is back on a good mark and may benefit from the application of cheekpieces. Fastman is a big danger to all if he sees out this trip.

Polar Bear has been keeping some decent company in recent starts but he’ll probably be well found in the market and it might be worth taking a chance on CARLOTTA. There was plenty to like about her Dundalk debut earlier in the year and it might be worth forgiving her recent return. Sioux Sweet could be involved if she resumes progress and Reinforce may benefit from a gelding procedure.
16:20 – Harry’s Hill (NAP)
A competitive contest with several of these likely to be ahead of their marks but it’s hard to get away from HARRY’S HILL (nap) in his hat-trick bid. He made easy work of a competitive looking handicap at the Curragh last month and if he’s in the same form here, an 11lb rise looks manageable. Blind Beggar is starting to look very well handicapped and the same can be said for Inflection Point who may benefit from a mid-season break.

Four of these were in the first six in a similar contest at Galway and the less exposed CHAMPAGNE can improve past River Rain who was just in front of her on that occasion. Bridgehead is also of interest after a good run over hurdles last time.
17:25 – Arctic Blaze
Local trainer John McConnell has a strong hand and ARCTIC BLAZE, who still has a bit of scope for improvement on turf, is just preferred to stablemate Wild Shot who returns from a break. Franno and Storm Steps can contend as well.
