13:30 – Aurora Nova

A fascinating if relatively winnable maiden, three of those with form claims dropping back markedly in trip. None looks obviously a sprinter. AURORA NOVA was a little unlucky here behind Gobi Star and ought to go well.

14:05 – Wakai Umi

WAKAI UMI might be able to confirm Naas form with All In The Hips, despite the Davison runner having a major weights revision in her favour. Feared, despite trip-related reservations, is Distillate.

14:40 – Mehman

A cracking contest and the only drawback for a wager is the lack of an eighth runner; that said, all have a chance. MEHMAN looked a sprinter to follow at Dundalk, when Scarlet Dancer ran a blinder too. Harmony Rose could pounce and pick them off.

15:15 – Encosta

Operatic Artist seems the pick of the O’Brien runners. ENCOSTA (nap) seems the pick of the Meade runners and, likely facing nothing rated 90 this time, should win.

15:50 – Secret Road

SECRET ROAD looks good for the Keane team now and the trip ought to suit. The likeable Sister Lola has to defy a modest albeit forgivable Turf hit-rate.

16:25 – Forgetmenotblue

Cursory Exam looks likely to add to his Dundalk win in the near future, and with a highly valuable 7lb claimed off his back here by a jockey in redhot form, he is clearly shortlist material. That said, Dermot Weld can do little wrong these days and his representative FORGETMENOTBLUE, gives the impression she has plenty left in the locker, and on the back of a break, she could well be more of a polished article now. She won’t need to have improved a whole lot, if any, to pop up in front here in any case. Ta Na La, Red Trail and Firstman could also give them a scare.

17:00 – St Cianans Fire

This looks the more competitive of the two divisions. ST CIANANS FIRE has had a few minor niggles along the way but he had his day in the limelight when winning narrowly on his recent visit to Punchestown and he is clearly going the right away now. He is open to more improvement and can go in again. Serafina came good in first-time blinkers (retained) at Clonmel and rates a big danger, as does The Dazzer, Hello Power and Sil Ver Klass.

17:30 – Fennor Cross

FENNOR CROSS has progressed at a rate of knots throughout the summer and won’t be easily contained here. Unlucky not to have gone a lot closer behind an easy winner over hurdles at Galway on his latest outing, he can get back on track here for owner Andy O’Brien and The Positivity Syndicate. Palace Rock lacks a recent run but should go well if his fitness holds up, albeit probably better go left-handed. Como Park and Gonetomillgrove are others to note.
