The selection looked a really powerful stayer on his racecourse debut 35 days ago when always up in the firing line before staying on strongly in the closing stages. He looks to have a huge amount of natural ability and while lacking a little experience compared to a few in the lineup, a real good test over this mile trip will suit CONTINUOUS and bring that stamina into play.
FLYING HONOURS won his last two races by a combined distance of 15 lengths and the latter one of those was up in Listed company. He looks to have an awful lot going for him in this line-up, including being fully 10lbs clear of his nearest rival on official ratings.
Sir Michael Stoute’s runner has only been out on track three times this season including when unlucky in the Thirsk Hunt Cup on return. He’s been ridden far too aggressively in his last two runs and gets the visor added which is often a positive from this stable. ASTRO KING is not badly weighted and a strong pace to run at should suit his style.
It was no disgrace to lose her unbeaten record to a rocket like Tahiyra in the Group One Moyglare Stud Stakes last time. This drop back down in distance should prove no hindrance as she has the required engine to cope with the added tempo. A return to the winners enclosure beckons again for MEDITATE and last year‘s winning team at Ballydoyle.
David O’Meara’s runner has found himself sliding down the handicap to a very attractive mark and showed a return to form last time at Doncaster when second over 110 yards further. Equality is going to attract the lion’s share of interest in the market, yet he finds it incredibly hard to win. NOMADIC EMPIRE can give our classy rider, Martin Harley, a welcome weekend winner.
PERSIAN FORCE has been on the go since the opening meeting at Doncaster and has done nothing but improve throughout the season. Connections have been hitting the crossbar up at the top level but can finally knock it into the back of the net for the team. Blackbeard had the run of the race over in France last time and we can expect a different outcome now, with the main threat coming from Mischief Magic who is looking for the four timer.

This half brother to Ribchester has not reached his full potential yet. He was really good on his return to action when winning at York, but twice since has finished well despite joining in a red-hot pace and then not being put into the contest until it was all over. This ‘in between’ distance of nine furlongs could suit ELECTRICAL STORM down to the ground. We may get rewarded at double-digit odds in the first leg of the Autumn double.
