A number of these have done most, or all, racing in sprints, while such an easy 7f looks a bare minimum for longstanding maiden Glencoe Boy from stall 14. The shortlist includes Porterinthejungle, who’ll find this company easier, Monaadhil, who likes it here, and THE MAD MONK, who’s had excuses with one thing and another since two wins in the spring.

Open Mind is expected to bridge the gap on Bear Profit from their C&D clash 39 days ago, with the expectation of a stronger pace, but BADRI could be the main beneficiary of such a scenario. Quest For Fun can show his true colours and put up most resistance.

Timestamp could resume his progress back on an artificial surface but the recent form of MYRIAD (nap) reads well and a first crack at this intermediate trip can see him record AW win number three. A big run from Mountain Road, who finished in front of him last time, in the 5.35 would be a welcome boost.

Much the safest option is AMASOVA who recorded a peak RPR in winning here last week. Sir Rodneyredblood (second choice) could get much closer to the selection than he was able to nine days ago while Blue Venture is capable but comes with risks attached.

A pair of recent wins for Star Of St Louis (main threat), and going up a total of only 3lb, counts for a lot but LETHAL TOUCH is taken to get back on track returned to a faster surface. Joking is a possible fly in the ointment, strong market support for Hugo Palmer’s handicap debutante would be ominous for her rivals.

Blairlogie benefited from a superb ride when dropped on the line here last time but whether lightning will strike twice remains to be seen. JEANETTE MAY might be the one, as she went close here before getting a bit lit up at Leicester.
