13:50 Newmarket – Flying Honours
We start with some top class two-year-old action coming from Newmarket on ITV. Aidan O’Brien is, as ever, present at the head of the market. The selection, FLYING HONOURS, was very impressive at Sandown in July and at Salisbury in August with a time that was much quicker than anything over that trip on the day. He looks a real powerhouse. Elsewhere, The Foxes caused a surprise when winning at Goodwood and he must have come forward from that for Andrew Balding to have a go here.
14:05 Haydock – Auditor
Sean Levey deserves a bit of luck. He rode AUDITOR last time at Newbury and ran a very good race. He is a good traveller, which you need for this trip at Haydock and there could be a few hard luck stories in here. But I’m happy to take a chance with Auditor who has plenty of pace.

14:25 Newmarket – Meditate
Cheveley Park Stakes time and a chance for the girls to shine. Royal Ascot winner MEDITATE sets the standard here, and you’d have to think this daughter of No Nay Never is going to be tough to beat. Trillium is the one that keeps improving and she could come forward again from Doncaster where conditions were very different.
14:40 Haydock – Equality
Charlie Hills could do with a strong finish to the season with sales time looming and EQUALITY could just serve him a winner here. Narrowly beaten at Windsor, and not quite getting there, he ran a hell of a race in the dash at Epsom earlier in the year. He races off the same mark here and can win.
15:00 Newmarket – Persian Force
There is not a lot between Blackbeard and Persian Force judged on their running in the Prix Morny at Deauville. I just feel home advantage could swing it for PERSIAN FORCE this time. I think he may cope better with the undulations of the Rowley Mile than Blackbeard.
