13:35 Curragh – Crypto Force
Adelaide River finished second in a Group 3 at Longchamp last time out with Pivotal Trigger behind in third. I’m not sure how strong their form really is. I’m willing to give CRYPTO FORCE another go. He beat Auguste Rodin in a maiden at the Curragh then went to Ascot on good-to-firm ground and finished seventh in the Chesham. He’s been freshened up since, Colin Keane rides and Michael O’Callaghan’s horses are in good form.
13:50 Newmarket – Flying Honours
I won’t be opposing FLYING HONOURS. I was really impressed on his last two starts. He’s better than the opposition.

14:05 Haydock – Akhu Naila
AKHU NAJLA could be unexposed for Roger Varian and David Egan. His last run was in May when well beaten by My Prospero but prior to that he had beaten Knight Of Honour at Yarmouth in April.
14:25 Newmarket – Swingalong
Meditate is the most likely winner and Trillium is a good filly but both ran on September 11. I’m hoping the step up in trip works for Trillium but her one defeat did come at 6f. SWINGALONG represents a bit of value as her form when she beat Barefoot Angel at Ripon got boosted at Ayr when Barefoot Angel romped away at beat Queen Me, who my pick previously beat at York. Karl Burke’s filly is tough, she hasn’t run since August 18 and will be a bit fresher than Meditate and Trillium. She’s an each-way poke!

14:40 Haydock – Nomadic Empire
I couldn’t understand how NOMADIC EMPIRE was dropped for his run at York behind Bergerac. He’s come down 2lbs for a solid effort and has had two solid runs since. He has a chance at a time of the year when most of these horses seem to be reaching their limit.
15:00 Newmarket – Mischief Magic
The trip should be ideal for Prix Morny winner Blackbeard but he is a bit of a character and I have my question marks. I just wonder if he has a temperament frailty that might be exposed at some point. MISCHIEF MAGIC is interesting as he won really well from the back at Kempton on his last start. He came from a long way back but Pat Dobbs never looked in any doubt. It was a really confident ride.

15:20 Curragh – Ramazan
Hellsing is the one to beat but I’ve gone looking for a bit of value among horses with a bit of form on soft ground. I came down on RAMAZAN, who ran in the Windsor Castle where he was no match for Little Big Bear. Richard Fahey quickly dropped him into a nursery where he bolted in on soft ground at Haydock, he couldn’t beat Streets Of Gold at York before a better run at Ayr behind Prairie Falcon. He’s worth an each-way poke!
15:40 Newmarket – Jimi Hendrix & Austrian Theory
Then history of the race suits the horses middle to high in the draw. The three-year-old’s have a chance in the race. JIMI HENDRIX can be excused for his run at Goodwood on his last start. I’d be giving him a chance coming from a little further back.
I have no idea which way Neil Callan will ride AUSTRIAN THEORY but he’s in stall 21 and with plenty of pace on this side of the track he can run a good race at a huge price if he can get a bit of cover. I’d be favouring horses in the high stalls from 20 upwards.
