13:40 – The Short Go
Having been a non-runner here on Wednesday on unsuitably good ground, the forecast rain can tip the balance in the favour of THE SHORT GO(nap), whose form reads well in this context. He does need to settle, though. The Willie Mullins pair of Spread Boss Ted and Kottayam are dangers, along with Dawn Rising.
14:15 – Glan
Plenty in with a chance but GLAN bounced back to form with a good fourth at Galway last time and there’s a suspicion that we haven’t see the best of her yet. Exit Poll and Dads Lad have to be big dangers from their reduced marks over timber and Flaming Moon might have been let in lightly by the assessor on handicap debut.
14:50 – Ceanndana
As one of the least exposed runners in the field, CEANNDANA could be worth siding with, having been a close third on handicap debut at Killarney last time over shorter. Cassidys Girl wasn’t far behind the selection in that event and could improve for this longer trip, as could Chief Black Robe. Chinook has possibilities but has been a weak finisher over shorter.

15:25 – Camilla’s Choice
Recent winners Battle Of Benburb, Bearwithmenow and Ballyglass Beauty are all of interest but a chance is taken with CAMILLA’S CHOICE, who showed improved form when third to the last-named raised to this trip at Kilbeggan last time and will handle softer ground. Gibbet Hill is interesting but this trip is a question.
16:00 – Filon D’Oudairies
It was a return to form from FILON D’OUDAIRIES last time when narrowly denied and he’s still below his last winning chase mark. Presenting Bonnie is another back on a good mark and Temptationinmilan was a bit of an eyecatcher last time.
16:35 – Pat Coyne
Plenty in here with chances but PAT COYNE was good value for the winning margin last time and with fitness on his side and just a 6lb rise to cope with, he can give another good account with Aidan Coleman on board. Ballyshannon Rose could be a big threat if fully tuned up for her return and similar can be said for Ain’t That A Shame who looked promising over fences last season.
17:10 – Zaynudin
Though ZAYNUDIN has a tough task on paper to give 4lb to Sandhurst, the selection looked to have turned a corner when skating home in a Gowran maiden last time and should handle easier conditions. Monas Melody has shown her best form on a sound surface and the rain may not suit her. Castlegrace Paddy has to be respected.
17:40 – Fun Fun Fun
The standard that is set is hardly insurmountable and it might be worth taking a chance on the well bred newcomer FUN FUN FUN. Her dam is a sister to Yorkhill and represents a yard with an outstanding record in bumpers, particularly this term. One For Lucy can give another good account and Presenting J can be involved if she improves again.
