Casa No Mento is clear of her four rivals in the Class 3 Weatherbys Cheltenham Festival Betting Guide Novices’ Chase (13:55) on ratings and, crucially, receives weight as she attempts to score over the larger obstacles at the second time of asking.

Meanwhile, Ira Hayes goes for a hat-trick in the Class 4 Racing TV 100% Profits Returned To Racing Novices’ Hurdle (14:15) but Wade Out could prove classy as Sean Bowen’s mount returns to calmer waters after competing in a Grade 2 last time out. There is also Jumps action at Wincanton.

The Class 3 “European Road To The Kentucky Derby” Conditions Stakes (19:30) tops the bill at Kempton’s all-weather meeting in the evening as Godolphin runner Opera Ballo bids to follow in the hoofsteps of stablemate Notable Speech, who won last year’s renewal before subsequently landing the 2000 Guineas.
