14:25 Newmarket – Loves Me Likearock (Racing Post, Lambourn)
LOVES ME LIKEAROCK hasn’t added to her two 2yo wins this year but has run several good races in defeat, including over C&D.
15:55 Perth – Platinumcard (Daily Record, Garry Owen)
PLATINUMCARD is well handicapped on his Flat form but isn’t as good over hurdles. Second of 20 at Galway last time and has a good chance if reproducing that form but lacks consistency.
16:10 Newmarket – Open Champion (On The Nose, Expert Eye)
OPEN CHAMPION was pretty useful over 1m4f this summer in a Newmarket novice and Lingfield maiden. Made his handicap debut in a demanding race at Haydock and moved nicely before perhaps finding himself stretched by the 1m6f. That was still his best form and he can do better still.
17:10 Pontefract – Corinthia Knight (Irish Herald, Ian Gaughran)
CORINTHIA KNIGHT is a likeable sort who gamely gained a fifth C&D success last month. Nudged up another 2lb but he remains handily weighted on his old form so merits serious consideration once more.
