FIT FOR FUNCTION found only a well-punted rival too strong at Gowran Park three weeks ago and with this drop back in trip no inconvenience, he is awarded the tentative vote. Sheila ought to be a factor at this level on return from a break. Star of Cashel will need them to go quick over this trip but he lurks on a very dangerous mark.
15:10 – GAMBE VELOCI
GAMBE VELOCI still looks a work-in-progress and with improvement forthcoming, is preferred to Prophets Voice, who just about sets the standard but is more exposed.

Quite a few to consider with DRAGON OF MALTA just about the most persuasive option on the back of a runner-up effort in a slightly better handicap than this at Roscommon 3 weeks ago. Half Nutz has been eased 3lb despite having a clear excuse last time so he’s interesting, with Ransom also considered.
16:20 – CHARTERHOUSE
CHARTERHOUSE arrives at the top of his game and may be able to follow up last month’s Killarney listed success. Self Belief and Statement should also go well.
16:55 – TIYMARA
Plenty making their handicap bow including TIYMARA, who didn’t get the best of runs when third at Roscommon last month and remains open to improvement. Dubawi Spectre and Lord Massusus are feared most.
17:30 – PLUNKETT
PLUNKETT didn’t get the breaks at Galway a fortnight ago and can land the spoils here. The in-form Earls is much respected whilst Comfort Line should also make his presence felt.
