Each and every day of the racing year we bring you a bumper NAPs Table to give you the inside scoop on all the plays you’ll need that day.

WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS!

Don’t know what a NAPs Table is? We’ll tell you! It’s an independently run competition involving the cream of the British and Irish racing press whose positions in the table are based on their profits to Level Stakes. And just like all sports competitions worldwide, those doing best are towards the top of the table.

So, we decided to put that golden guide to the test and use it to steer you towards what could be a savvy Lucky 15 (4 horses, 15 bets). The four you’ll see below are the selections of some of the top-performing tipsters in the Table. Let’s get to the picks…

Ayr-Racing

13:30 Hamilton – Queenie Rooney (Western Morning News, Jeffrey Ross)

Queenie Rooney was a fair third of five on debut at Newcastle (5f, AW) in May and returned from a break to dead-heat for a head second over C&D (good to soft) 18 days ago; this may be a tougher race but she’s still firmly in calculations.

14:50 Plumpton – Borntobealeader (On the Nose, Expert Eye)

BORNTOBEALEADER was a fair Flat performer; first run since being gelded when winning six-runner seller at Goodwood (1m3f, good to soft) three weeks ago in decisive fashion; left Amanda Perrett for £21,000 afterwards; has joined a top yard and must have a big chance if taking to this new discipline.

15:30 Hamilton – Captain Corcoran (The Irish Field, Rory Delargy)

CAPTAIN CORCORAN is on a 15-race losing sequence and soundly beaten on good going on this season’s first two starts, but he was back on his preferred slow ground when returning to form with a close third at Catterick (5f, soft) last month; likely player if the ground is on the slow side of good.

15:40 Listowel – What Path (Daily Post, Mercury)

WHAT PATH was well-fancied when beaten on his first three bumper starts but made no mistake when getting off the mark at Galway over 2m2f; that form is strong as the next three home have won bumpers since, so he looks a major player if jumping soundly on hurdling debut; bred to stay.
