14:10 – Common Practice

Aghaboy kept going well to win at Ballinrobe last week but he’ll be struggling to beat The Insider on form. COMMON PRACTICE is a very interesting newcomer for Joseph Patrick O’Brien. He’s an 83-rated Flat horse and ran really well at Galway behind Irish Lullaby last time having won the Apprentice Derby at the Curragh before that. If he jumps then he brings a higher level of form to the race than any of the other Flat horses in here.

14:40 – NIKINI

Nikini has some good bumper form especially behind Dorans Weir at Fairyhouse and The Model Kingdom at Punchestown. Hollymount had a big price tag and has failed to live up to it. She has the experience but NIKINI should be able to make Hollymount go.

15:40 – What Path

WHAT PATH has jumped really well at home. He’s stepping up to 3m which will suit him down to the ground. He’ll be hard to beat.

Listowel-Races

16:40 – Easy Game & Kemboy

EASY GAME has been in training all summer. He won at Tramore in July before finishing 10th in the Galway Plate. He’s won at Listowel on more than one occasion including in this race last year. I can see why Paul Townend’s gone for Easy Game as he’s definitely the horse in form and has race fitness.

KEMBOY is probably dropping in standard at the age of 10. He’s on a mark of 165, which won’t make him competitive in a handicap. He’s going to be a hard horse to place, but I think Willie Mullins has a plan.

17:10 – Polo Lounge

Polo Lounge’s first run was probably his best (behind Shanbally Kid, who Gigginstown Stud bought and is now in training with Willie Mullins). He then ran poorly at Tramore behind The Friday Man and was beaten at Killarney by Next Week. Velvet Real is the only newcomer but the form of those who have run isn’t outstanding and this might be an ideal opportunity for POLO LOUNGE.
