13:25 – Day Member

Some fair form to her name and looked to have been handed a lenient opening mark, but DAY MEMBER wasn’t seen to best effect on her handicap debut at Wolverhampton 16 days ago, caught wide and racing in snatches. She left the impression she will relish the step up to seven furlongs and is well worth another chance to prove herself well handicapped. Claretina rates a big threat on the back of her unlucky effort at Haydock, while in-form maiden Transfer Affection can have a say too in an open nursery.

14:00 – Prairie Falcon

Won a nursery at Goodwood in July which has worked out well and PRAIRIE FALCON was unlucky not to resume winning ways at Redcar on Tuesday. He found every gap closing on him in the final two furlongs, leaving the impression he would have won comfortably with a clear run, and he is taken to gain compensation now turned out quickly from the same mark. Ramazan is another going the right way and feared, along with Premier Option.

14:35 – Bolt Action

BOLT ACTION looked above average when making a winning debut at Leicester in May and he has run some solid races in defeat since. He was narrowly touched off in a similar event over six furlongs at Ripon last time, taking a strong hold in front but only caught late in the day. The return to five furlongs is no bad thing judged on that effort and he is fancied to deservedly resume winning ways. Kerindia was placed in a Group 3 at Longchamp over this trip recently and looks next best, though Miss Attitude may reward each-way backers at likely bigger odds.

Ayr Horse Racing

15:10 – Gale Force Maya

Has developed into a smart sprinter this year, winning four times, and GALE FORCE MAYA belatedly opened her account at this level at York last time. She proved better than ever on that occasion and had a fair bit up her sleeve, so she looks an obvious choice to follow up in a race which probably isn’t as competitive as the numbers suggest. Mo Celita has finally worked her way back to form and is a threat, with Sandbeck one to consider at longer odds.

15:45 – Summer Sands

Richard Fahey has a strong hand and his SUMMER SANDS could be worth chancing. It’s been nearly three years since his last victory in the Two-Year-Old Trophy at Redcar under Barry McHugh but the spark is still there judged on a few of his efforts this term and he’s very well handicapped if getting back to anything like the form he showed when third in the 2019 Middle Park. Le Beau Garcon, 2019-winner Music Society and Admirality are three others who should be in the mix.

16:20 – Do I Dream

DO I DREAM belied odds of 100/1 when a surprise winner at Pontefract earlier in the year and caught the eye when runner-up at Thirsk last month. She relished the return to a mile that day, doing all of her best work at the finish having been caught further back than ideal. She was arguably unlucky not to win that day so is well worth another chance to get her head back in front from just 2 lb higher. Mi Capricho is a danger dropping in grade after a short break and Flylikeaneagle should be on the premises again, too.

16:50 – Albegrey

Probably made his move a little too soon when finishing third over nine furlongs at Carlisle last time, but ALBEGREY still proved at least as good as ever, and he could be the answer back down in trip now given the handicapper has left him on the same mark. Tim Easterby’s charge is marginally preferred to Engles Rock, who finished with a flourish from a compromising position at Newcastle and is also feasibly treated.

17:20 – Shimmering Sands

SHIMMERING SANDS has shown improved form upped in trip in handicaps this year, doing well under the circumstances when making it twp wins from his last three starts at Leicester last month. This progressive three-year-old looks to be ahead of his mark and can add another success to his tally if he is turned out quickly. Gift of Raaj has been holding his form well and heads the list of dangers, ahead of Graces Quest.
