13:25 Doncaster – Palm Lilly

Contested the Princess Margaret Stakes at Royal Ascot last time and a mark of 83 looks reasonable. Palm Lilly was still very rough around the edges when slowly away and then worked her way into contention before getting tired. The drop down in grade is going to help a lot now trying handicap company.

14:00 Doncaster – Cold Case

Cold Case sets a very high standard for this massive. He was not beaten too far in the Gimcrack Stakes at York’s Dante meeting behind Noble Style. Surely that form is head and shoulders better than anything in the lineup now? He may want further in time but looks to have the required class to cope with this test.

Epsom 14:15 – NAPPER TANDY

The jumps boys have a go over the 1m 4f rollercoaster trip around Epsom’s contours and Napper Tandy. He’s lightly enough raced and while his last start at Kempton was disappointing when favourite, he was placed in two previous tries over this trip and runs off the same mark now. The stylish Daryll Jacobs is in the saddle.

14:35 Doncaster – Novakai

Novakai looked really good winning at this venue over 7 furlongs  on her debut when quickly going clear at the quarter mile pole for a smooth success. She still seemed a little babyish when running fairly well at headquarters last time, but it’s the step up and distance that is going to bring about a good chunk of improvement from her over the mile.

15:10 Doncaster – Eshaada

Was involved in a very ugly bumping match when we saw her last time in the Lancashire Oaks at Haydock and has been given plenty of time to recover from the scrimmaging. Eshaada sets the standard with an official rating of 113 and the galloping nature of the track at Doncaster will suit as will any rain that falls as an ease in the ground will hold no fears.

15:45 Doncaster – New Kingdom (each-way)

Although he has raced as far as 10 furlongs over in Meydan, New Kingdom looks for all the world to have the required speed for the drop back down to the long sprint distance of 7 furlongs. It may well bring about a jolt of improvement and he has the new headgear combination of cheekpieces added. He looks massively overpriced at double digits.
